This began when I was six.
In first grade, I turned in a coloring assignment where I carefully traced back over the original lines with a black crayon to make them bold and clear. My teacher noticed and praised the way the thicker lines made the colors stand out.

Decades later, I’m still drawing that way.
Bold, confident lines and simple shapes have become my happy place. I’ve always been a bit of a doodler and a dawdler, happiest when I have time to put a pen or pencil to paper and let a drawing unfold slowly.
Doodling — the swirls, curls, easy lines, and soothing patterns — has always felt natural to me. There’s something meditative about this style and the calming rhythm it creates as you draw.
A single leaf, lovely flower, little bird, or cozy cat might become the center of a page, wrapped in simple patterns and little details that celebrate the extraordinary beauty of ordinary things.
I love letting a drawing breathe and leaving space for color. But most of all, I love seeing what happens when someone else brings their own palette, style, and imagination to the page.

Cappelappa is my invitation to that shared creativity.
Creativity has always been a constant thread in my life, and Cappelappa grew out of that love of simple creation — the kind that doesn’t require perfection or performance, just a little time and a love for art.
Each page I create is an invitation to slow down, enjoy the process, and make something that feels good.
So if you’re looking for a place to pause and color joyfully …
You’re welcome here.
